Sloper – Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the Sloper mobile app ("Sloper", "the App"), operated by Gerardo Zenteno Gaeta, an individual developer based in Mexico ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Sloper. If you are under the age of majority or the age of digital consent in your country (which may be up to 16), you may use the App only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who is responsible for any subscription purchase.
2. Your Account
You may register with email and password or via Google or Apple sign-in. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and notify us of any unauthorized use. You may delete your account at any time in Settings → Danger Zone.
3. What Sloper Provides
Sloper is an educational app for learning climbing terminology through flashcards and spaced repetition (the "Route"), memory and climbing mini-games (the "Gym"), and progress tracking, streaks, and badges (the "Board"). The climber level shown in your profile is calculated from your onboarding answers and is for personalization only. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
Access to the App requires an active paid subscription. Currently we offer:
Prices may vary by country and taxes and are shown in the App before purchase.
Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless canceled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Free trial. The 3-day trial is available on the annual plan only, and may be limited to new subscribers. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, you will be charged USD $59.99 and the subscription will renew annually. Any unused part of a trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
Billing. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions are managed through RevenueCat, but billing, cancellation, and refunds are handled by Apple or Google.
Cancel or manage. Go to your Apple ID subscription settings or Google Play → Payments & subscriptions. Deleting the App or your Sloper account does not cancel your subscription.
Restore purchases. Use the "Restore Purchases" button on the paywall to recover an existing subscription on a new device.
Refunds. Refund requests are governed by Apple's or Google's policies and applicable law. We cannot issue refunds for purchases made through their stores.
Price changes. If we change prices, we will give notice as required by the store and law. Changes apply at your next renewal, and you may cancel before then.
5. Safety Disclaimer

Climbing is inherently dangerous and can cause serious injury or death. Sloper is an educational tool for learning climbing terminology only. It does not provide climbing instruction, safety guidance, training programs, or health or fitness advice, and it is not a substitute for qualified instruction, supervision, or proper equipment checks. Learning terms or playing the App's games does not make you ready for any real climb. You climb at your own risk and are solely responsible for your decisions and safety.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to: copy, modify, reverse engineer, or scrape the App or its content; bypass the paywall or subscription checks; share your account to give others free access; interfere with the App's security or operation; or use the App unlawfully.
7. Intellectual Property
The App, including its flashcards, content, design, games, badges, and branding, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your own non-commercial use while you have an active subscription.

8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data, including optional usage analytics and notifications.
9. Termination
You may stop using Sloper and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or misuse the App. Upon termination, your license ends and your data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimers
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so they may not apply to you.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any injury, loss, or damage arising from climbing activities or your reliance on App content. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Apple and Google Terms
If you download Sloper from the Apple App Store, you also agree to Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Apple and Google are not responsible for the App, its support, or claims relating to it. Your use must also comply with the applicable platform terms.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the new version with an updated date and, for material changes, notify you in the App. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Mexico, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of Mexico, without affecting any mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.
